We are very proud to unveil the results of the expansion work that took place at the Véro & Louis Home in Varennes!
With nearly 4,000 additional square feet, we have welcomed four new residents and created new common living spaces, designed based on the results of architectural research : Designing places with, by and for autistic people: Development of a design device for the built environment based on the user-experience of autistic people, Virginie LaSalle, Lead Researcher and co-researchers: Baudoin Forgeot D'Arc, MD, PhD; Vincent Larivière; Isabelle Feillou, PhD.
New spaces, new possibilities:
- A cozy living room to welcome their families
- An educational kitchen to develop independence through cooking
- A new activity room with spaces for individual activities
And above all, the opportunity to live a real adult life in their own home!
Our invaluable specialized team, who support them on a daily basis, now have new offices and spaces reserved for them, allowing them to recharge their batteries and work together to serve the residents.
Welcome to the new home of Varennes!
A huge thank you to the contractor, Groupe CIBS, and the architectural firm Artefac for their valuable contribution.
And thank you to you, dear donors, who have made this wonderful project possible!
